Airports
-
Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is the primary airport for Asheville. Located in Fletcher, it is about 15 minutes south of downtown and roughly 13–15 miles away by road, depending on your destination in town. Asheville Regional currently offers service from six airlines — Allegiant, American, Delta, JetBlue, Sun Country, and United — with nonstop service to a range of domestic destinations.
Ground transportation options include taxis, ride apps, limousines, and rental cars. Rideshare or taxi service are in the $35–$50 range, though pricing can vary.
-
Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) is the nearest larger airport alternative. About 70 miles from Asheville, the drive is generally around 1 hour 15 minutes or more, with fares above $100.
